One Lives...

Hi ladies!  It's time for MFT Teaser Time and I am super excited!  We've got 5 fab days coming up of teasers showing the stamp sets and Die-namics dies that will be released on April 5th.  Be sure to stop by daily for your MFT fix.  :)

Want to win over $125 in prizes and win the coveted MFT Guest Designer spot?  Head on over to the MFT forum for all the details.  I am co-hostessing this month with Michele, and we would LOVE for you to enter.

Today I have a couple cards using the new Four Point Frame Die-namics die and Own Your Story stamp set.  The two products come packaged together so you'll have everything you need to create fun, scrappy cards right out of the package.  :)  A super exciting (and new) aspect to this stamp set and die duo is that the set is HUGE!  It is 6 X 8 and is packed full of fun elements.  You'll be able to mix and match the stamps for endless possibilities.

My first card uses the beautiful Own Your Story stamp set.  I used several stamps on this card.  In the background of the focal panel, I used the notebook page stamp with pink chalk ink, the sentiment (which lines up perfectly on the lined paper stamp) was stamped with Memento brown, the flourish was stamped in a yellowish orange chalk ink, the paper clip was stamped in a light blue chalk ink.  On the layer behind that, I stamped the text print stamp with Memento brown and the DING stamp with the same ink.   That was six stamps in that small area and that is a small portion of the stamps actually in the set.  LOL

I used my SU Air Art tool along with a Chocolate Chip marker to spray ink over all the pieces of the card to add some grunge.  The flower is a Prima from my stash.

I used the new Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics die to die-cut the scalloped border and added some chocolate colored Swarovski crystals.  I used some peach velvet and grosgrain ribbon from my stash.  I roughed up all the edges by curling/ripping/squishing them.

For my second card, I used a couple different stamps in the set.  I stamped a collage stamp that fits within the frame on blush card stock.  Then I stamped one of the included sentiments on some woodgrain paper from Crate - Emma's Shoppe.  Finally, I stamped the DING stamp set on two different colored card stock with different ink and used them as embellishments.  I added a tiny Tim Holtz paperclip to the sentiment circle to add a little something.

See that border peeking out?  That is the new Open Zig Zag border Die-namics die.  I love that it is large and bold.

I took a lot of time to cut these circles to overlap them, and then ended up covering up most of that detail with the focal image.  LOL

At the risk of boring you, I have one more project to show you.  I just couldn't put this set down!  :)  This is a 3" X 5" piece of art that I sent to Kim for a special project she was working on.  The criteria was inspirational, and I just LOVE this quote!

Here is a pic showing you the new Four Point Frame Die-namics die.  I just love the unique shape.

Check out this nifty graphic.  It illustrates just a few of the MANY ways you can use the new Own Your Story stamp set with the Four Point Frame Die-namics die.  This stamp set is AMAZING.  I am in LOVE with it.

I just love the new Open Zig Zag Border.  I love the substantial size of the zig zags .

Just when you think you have enough scallops... you see this and realize you don't.  LOL  I love the Simply Scallops die and the Simply Scallops Medium is a great addition.  With bigger scallops and the great way it cuts out the whole shape, you'll be mixing and matching in perfect, Simply Scallop style.

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday.  I have come to look forward to the random day of Wednesday because the new sketch challenge is available for MFT.  :)  I hope you'll play along this week (and every week for that matter) for Wednesday Stamp Club.  You'll get your creative juices flowing AND have the chance to win an MFT voucher.

My card today uses the new(ish) You Rule à la modes stamp set.

She is colored with Copic markers.  I drew in the ground with Prismacolor pencils.  I snuck in the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty die to anchor my sentiment.

I tucked the Dizzy Doily behind all the panels.

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

Let's Chat!

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping today!

My card today is pink, simple, and didn't require ANY coloring.  I least I kept one thing within the norm, right?  LOL

I used the brand new Say What? stamp set and Die-namics die.  It's a fun stamp set and makes quick and cute cards.  I dig it.  :)

The stamp set includes 4 speech bubble frames and I used all 4.  I chose some of the cute sentiments that come in the set to make a card fit for a friend who misses a "phone call date" (you know who you are, Carole!).  I used some Echo Park patterned paper and added some Prima bling to add a little pizazz.

I just LOVE ripping the edge of the Notebook Edge Die-namics die

I finished off the inside, too.  I used a speech bubble frame and stamped the sentiment and brackets inside.

That's it for today, friends.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

My card today uses Pure Innocence You're so Tweet.  Isn't she sweet?  I love the little birdie on her shoulder.

She is colored with Copic markers and her dress is paper-pieced with My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  I used the Flower and Leaf Trio Die-namics die.  I added a tiny crystal flourish near the flower.  I also found some beautiful velvet ric rac in my stash.  I haven't used that in a while...

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)

Handle with care... TCP Tuesday 150

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by this weekend.  I found some time to participate in this week's TCP Tuesday, so I popped in to write a quick blog post.  :)

If you'd like info on playing along, click on over to the TCP Tuesday 150 post on Alma's blog.

I used the new(ish) Echo Park Springtime Collection patterned paper and the new(ish) Bear Hugs stamp set.

I opted to paper piece a couple parts on the bear, but left the majority of it uncolored, and instead opted to cut it out and lay it on a different background color.  His nose is popped up a little for a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll see you soon.  :)

Handle with care...

Hi and thanks for popping in today.  TGIF!

I have another TCP card for you today.  This is another one I made for TCP Tues 149.

I used the Bear Hugs stamp set.  This little guy is so cute!  I decided not to even color him.  I stamped him on kraft, cut him out, and then paper-pieced his belly with white card stock.  I cut out his paws and nose and popped them up a little to add a little dimension.  The heart was paper-pieced from a gorgeous paper pack from Jillibean, Dutch Mustard Soup.  I added a wood button from Maya Road, and a bow from some green ribbon I found in my stash.

See you soon!  Have a nice weekend.

Hiya Honey

Hiya honies hunnies honeys.  :)  I hope you're having a happy Thursday.

This past week, I played along with TCP Tuesday 149, which was to create a card using any one of the previous 148 TCP Tuesday Challenges.  Easy enough, right?  I opted for TCP Tuesday 143 (hostessed by the fabulous Susan), which was to use stamps with hearts or the word love with them.  I opted to use the new(ish) Honey Bear stamp set.

I whipped out my new Jillibean Dutch Mustard Soup 6 X 6 paper pad (LOVE it).  PJ is paper-pieced with both patterned paper and white card stock against a kraft background.  I used the bee as a sort of "arrow" through the heart.  The embellishment is an Apple Pie acrylic flower, with a Maya Road wood button, and topped off with a Prima Donna Downey resin flower.  *whew*  That was a lot of stacking.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by!  :)  Come visit me tomorrow for another TCP creation.

Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday Stamp Club #11 - You're so Tweet

Hi all and thanks for srtopping by.  I have a "tweet" card for you today using MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #11.  This sketch was a lot of fun!

I used Pure Innocence Out on a Limb.  She is stamped and colored with Copic markers.  I added the tiny bird from the set to the tab, and sticthed it on.

I added a big ol' crystal flourish.  Have I mentioned that I am in love with those things?

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

It's a HOT HOT HOT Hop!

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting tonight. Who's that Girl is getting SPICY for this month's VIP Collection. If you're just happening upon the hop, please be sure to start at the MFT blog so you don't miss anything.

Now let's get cha-cha-cha-ing...

WTG is colored with Copic markers and the ruffles are paper-pieced with patterned paper. I chose some "sassy" colors to go with the Fiesta! Who's that Girl. I used the new Pretty Posies Die-namics die that is included with your VIP Collection. It includes three pretty flowers and 3 centers so you can build pretty, dimensional blooms.

The sentiment is stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black ink and is clear embossed to help the sentiment show better on the patterned paper.

Here is what you get in the April VIP Collection:

Ready to hop along? Your next stop on the hop is the super talented (and sweet), Michele.

See you in 2 short hours for my Wednesday Stamp Club blog post. Get ready to get your sketch on. ;)

You Mean the World to Me

Hi ladies!  I'm back for day 2 of MFT Teaser Time with another of the soon-to-be-released à la modes stamp set, You Mean the World to Me.

Isn't she adorable?  I just love her holding the "globe".  As with the set yesterday, she is versatile.  You can "go green" or "go sentimental".  Given the choice, I always choose sappy, so I chose the sweet sentiment included in the set.

She is colored with Copic markers.  I drew in the ground with Prismacolor pencils.

I wanted to add some detailed stitching to my Simply Scallops Die-namics die-cut.  I die-cut another Simply Scallops die-cut and traced the edges of it with a pencil.  I then stitched along the pencil line one stitch at a time with my sewing machine.  It didn't take too terribly long and I like the added detail it adds to this otherwise simple card.

Here are some details about the release this Tuesday night:

  • The MFT release is on March 15th at 10 PM EST. It includes this month's VIP collection and the 2 brand new à la modes stamp sets.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog.
