A Musical Day

Hi there and welcome to the last day of MFT Teaser Time.  In 22 short hours, all the fantastic stamp sets you've seen over the past 5 days will be available for sale.

Today, we are featuring the soon-to-be-released stamp sets Who's that Musical Girl and Clearly Sentimental about Music.  I have a card using each of the sets.

First up, a pink, kraft, and black creation using Who's that Musical Girl?.

WTG in a circle is SO fun to work with!  She is colored with Copic markers.

I die-cut a piece of sheet music and then stitched it (one stitch at a time).  I added a musical note bling on top of the sheet music.  I went with a more is more on that one... LOL

I used the Dainty Lace Border to add a pop of elegance.

I finished off the inside as well.  I used the musical notes from the stamp set and stamped a sentiment over them.  I added a piece of patterned paper to tie it all together, and another musical note bling. (Hobby Lobby)

While I had all the fun papers and embellishments out and on my desk, I decided to make a coordinating card using Clearly Sentimental about Music.  It was just such a fun combination of goodies to use.  :)  I love the new font used for this stamp set.  Very fresh and neat.

A couple weeks ago my friend, Lisa Henke, used just a strip of ribbon on half of her card, and I wanted to give it a try.  :)  I used some yummy new ribbon I bought at a LSS.  It is pleated grosgrain by Maya Road.  LOVE it!

I stitched around the oval one stitch at a time.

I used some sheet music patterned paper as almost an embellishment by punching and matting them.

Gotta love the $1 crystal packs from Michaels.  I love the dainty little swirls.

Bloom

Hi and welcome to day 4 of MFT Teaser Time.  Today, I have a card using the soon-to-be-released Inspired by Flowers, set 1.  This will be a year long series, with one releasing each quarter.  While this image is more on the elegant side, I decided to incorporate some bright, fun papers and bright, cheery embellishments.

I stamped the flower in Versamark and embossed in white on some patterned white vellum.  I matted it on some pink, polka-dot paper.  It looks neat peeking through the vellum.  I stitched the panels together.  I added the Bloom sentiment to a sentiment flag and laid it across the flower panel.

I wanted to keep the color scheme light and bright so I opted for a white scalloped border using Simply Scallops.  It looked a little plain to me so I decided to add a couple stitched lines down the side.  The round panel was also stitched.  I stitched that one, one stitch at a time so I would be sure to get it *just* right.  I also added some crystal flourishes.  I'm sure you're not surprised given my recent flourish addiction.

I used my Bow Easy to make a pink bow with grosgrain ribbon.

Where flowers bloom...

Today is day 3 of MFT Teaser Time, and it's Pure Innocence day.  Don't you just love PI day?  There are 5 cuties being released on March 1st, and today I have a card using the new set, Daffodil.  She is the third in the PI flower of the month series.   l love how her dress mimics the flower.  CUTE!

She is colored with Copic markers and paper-pieced with My Mind's Eye patterned paper.

I used the Simply Scallops and Butterflies Die-namics dies.

Clearly Sentimental about Parenting

Hi!  Today is day 2 of MFT Teaser Time.  Four short days away from the big release!

My card uses Clearly Sentimental about Parenting.  There are many sweet sentiments that pertain to parenting a child of any age.

To create the flower embellishment, I cinched a piece of stitched ribbon and used the string I cinched to thread through the button.  Dealing with those tiny threads was a pain, but I like the finished product.

Flowers and Phone Calls

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of MFT Teaser Time.  It's time to start showing you all the fabulous stamps and products that will be released on March 1st.  :)

First up I have a card using Fred Bear - Oopsie Daisy.  Isn't he so sweet?

Fred was colored with Copic markers.  I added some fine glass glitter over the petals of the flowers.  I used the sweet Butterflies Die-namics die to create an embellishment.  I used the new Hattie paper pad by My Mind's Eye.

Here is a peek inside the card, using the other two sentiments included in the stamp set.

Here is a quick and easy card using the new Flapper Doodles stamp set, My Favorite Hello.  I adore the sentiments in this set.  SO perfect for a far-away friend.  :)

Wednesday Stamp Club - Eight is GREAT!

Hi all!  Welcome to week 8 of MFT Wednesday Stamp Club.  Today's sketch was begging for a sentiment, and I found the perfect one in the new stamp set, The Great Outdoors.  I wanted to stay away from using any dark colors for this card, so I opted to stamp my sentiment in a light blue color.  I tied in the sentiment using the My Mind's Eye True Blue patterned paper.  I kept this one sweet and simple, using the powers of layers and dimension.  :)

I used plenty of Die-namics dies on my card as well: Simply Scallops, Polka Dot Greetings, and Notebook Edge.

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)

Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog and the MFT forum on SCS (look for the most recent WSC thread).  You'll need to upload your card in the SCS gallery using the keyword shown on the sketch. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT money. One winner is chosen at random each week!

You're Too Cute

Today I have clean and simple card using the newly released Enjoy Every Moment stamp set.

I used the Echo Park little girl papers that were a gift from my friend, Joanne!  Thanks, Jo.  I love them.

She is stamped and colored with Copic markers.  I paper pieced her dress, leggings, and the heart adornment on her dress.  I placed my sentiment around the circle and slightly distressed the edges.

I used my new polka dot Cuttlebug folder, but it wasn't big enough to emboss my entire panel, so I broke up the paper by stitching along the edge where the embossed portion met the plain paper.

I kept the colors nice and soft opting to use only pink and white card stock.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

You're a Great Friend

I finally got a chance to ink up the recently released Pure Innocence Primrose stamp set.  This is the second stamp set in the MFT Pure Innocence year of flowers series.  I like the more delicate lines and elegant, while still super-sweet feel.

She is stamped and colored with Copic markers.  Her dress is paper pieced.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but the skirt is layered 3 times to add dimension.  I curled up the edges of the top layer to mimic ruffling.  I drew in the grass with Prismacolor pencils.  I added 2 mm Swarovksi crystals to her shoes for the clasps.

I used the new Mabel 6 X 6 pad from My Mind's Eye.  I am in LOVE with the entire new line by My Mind's Eye.  I got it at the Scrap Castle.  Fast shipping, great prices, and awesome service. (and yes, I paid for my order, just sharing my good experience)

In keeping with my "I'm obsessed with crystals" phase, I added a big pretty crystal flourish to this card.  It's actually one I cut apart.  Sometimes when you don't want to use the whole thing, find a portion that works and cut it apart.

Thanks for stopping by today and I will see you soon!  :)

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club - Lucky Seven

Hi everyone!  It's time for another week of MFT Wednesday Stamp Club.  I used the same colors and papers as I did last week and made another sweet and simple card using the Triple Scoop stamp set Clearly Sentimental about Parenting and the Hearts a Plenty Die-namics die.

I die-cut the Heart a Plenty die with white card stock and pink My Favorite Felt.  I laid one over another and then stitched down the center.  I added a blingy flower to the center of the heart to add a little bit of pizazz.

Here is the sketch for you.  I hope you'll play along.  :)
