Friendship is Shelter

Hi everyone!  It's day 4 of MFT Teasers and I have another card to share.  This one uses the soon-to-be-released Jolinne - Friendship is Shelter stamp set.  I adore the smaller-scale Jolinne image and the addition of the bunny.

She is stamped on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and colored with Copic markers (and paper-pieced with patterned paper - Eskimo Kisses from Basic Grey I *think*).  I added some grass in with Prismacolor Pencils.  I added some white, felt clouds over the image, die-cut from my Cloud Trio Die-namics die.

Here is a pic of the inside.  I used the sentiment from the set and pulled in more of the same patterned paper I used on the front of the card.

Let me leave you with some details about the release, which is TOMORROW!  Get ready... It's an amazing release!  :)

Splish Splash

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  It's day 3 of MFT Teasers and today is all about Pure Innocence.  :)  I chose to stamp with Splish Splash, the new Pure Innocence Boy & His Dog stamp set.  I couldn't resist him and his cute sidekick.

The image was stamped on X-press It Blending Card Stock and colored with Copic markers.  I used a piece of grosgrain ribbon and some Various Blending Solution to create the texture on his overalls.  I added some Sakura clear glaze pen on the puddle, splashing water, and his buttons.  I use the Notebook Edge Die-namics die on the edge of the patterned paper.  Anytime I use lined or ledger-type patterned paper, it's hard to resist grabbing that die.

I distressed the edges of all the paper.  That makes it more boy-ish, right?  LOL  Just mess it up a little and call it masculine.  Sounds like a plan to me.  :)

Here is the finished inside, complete with another sentiment that comes in the stamp set.

Sending Warm Thoughts

Hi and Happy Sunday.  I'm back today with day 2 of MFT Teaser Time.  I was feeling frosty and made this card using the soon-to-be-released stamp set, Ice Skating Flopsey.  I love that the sentiments are written as if Flopsey created them while skating.  Too fun.

Flopsey is stamped on X-press It Blending Card Stock and colored with Copic markers.  I used my airbrush for the wispy blue around him.  I created the snowflake embellishment with my Let it Snowflake Die-namics die and some Diamond Dust glitter.  I accented the card with some light pink gingham ribbon.

thank you for being my Sunshine every day

Hi everyone!  Guess what time it is???  MFT Teaser Time!  There is a new release just around the corner and I can't WAIT.  :)  There are a ton of new stamp sets and 5 new Die-namics dies being released!

Speaking of Die-namics, my card today uses the new Die-namics Duo - Textile Rectangles.  It is a super cute stamp set with frames that fit in the Textile Rectangles die.  It also comes with some super-sweet sentiments that say *just* the right thing.  I love the "sunshine" sentiment, and let the sentiment inspire the card by using the Sunshine Die-namics die along with it.  (yes, literal interpretation LOL)  Taking that interpretation one step further, I used yellow... for the sunshine... (oh brother, as if that needed any further explanation).  Ok, moving on to the card now.  :)

I stamped the frame with chalk ink in pink, then die-cut it with the Textile Rectangle frame Die-namics die.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento black, and I added 3, 4mm Swarovski crystals.

To create the sun, I used the Sunshine and Rolled Flower Die-namics dies.

Star Reader

Hi everyone!  I had so much fun with the newly released à la modes stamp set, Here's the Story, I had to create another card with it.

I'm going to title this card: "WOW, I used a lot of white".  LOL

She is stamped on Blending Card Stock by XPress It, and colored with Copic markers.

I used the Notebook Edge die, which I LOVE.  You must have this die (if you don't already).  Look at how realistic it looks.  I ♥ this thing!

I double-stitched the main image panel and added this star using the Die-namics Stacking Star die.  I LOVE that the die has nesting stars, so you can mix and match patterns to make cute little embellishments.

I finished off the inside with some some Stacking Stars, the Polka Dot Greetings frame die, and a cute sentiment from the set.  I pulled in the grid paper from the front of the card in the form of a simple strip layered across the top, under the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll see you soon!

Bottom of My Heart

Hi all and welcome to the MFT VIP Blog Hop & Shop!  If you're just happening upon the hop, be sure to start at Kim's blog so you don't miss anything!

The December VIP collection and 2 new à la modes (Take Time and Here's the Story) are available NOW!  Click on over to the MFT Boutique to grab yours before they are gone.  The VIP is available only in limited quantities.

I made this notebook to write my hubby some love notes in.  I think it's good to verbalize (or put in writing) one's feelings, and what better way than in a notebook made JUST for that purpose?!

I added lots of different flowers at the bottom to jazz it up.  Who's That Girl is paper pieced and the heart is colored with Copic markers.  I mounted the WTG on a die-cut piece of patterned paper that I distressed with some white paint so it woudn't be so "loud".

For the inside pages I used the Perpetual Calendar template.  I stamped a greeting from the Bottom of my Heart Additions OR Bottom of My Heart stamp set on each page in the book.  I also used the heart balloons stamp on every page.

Here is a card I made with the same patterned papers (Basic Grey Eva).  I used the Rounded Banner for the sentiment.

Here is a peek inside the card:

Here are the details about the VIP Collection:

From the Bottom of My Heart VIP Collection $42.90 (retail value of $55.85 - save $12.95)

  • From the Bottom of My Heart WTG
  • From the Bottom of My Heart Additions (VIP exclusive full-sized stamp set - will never be offered for sale or be available again)
  • Hearts a Plenty Die-namics die
  • Curio Basic Grey 6 X 6 Patterned Paper Pad
Your next stop on the hop is my friend, Michele. Get ready to drool, because I know whatever she has made is going to be AWESOME!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!

Here's the Story

Hi everyone and welcome to MFT Teaser Time.  Today, we are featuring a brand new à la modes stamp set, Here's the Story.  Isn't she SO adorable perched on top of that pile of books, looking studious in her spiffy glasses?

This stamp set, a second à la modes stamp set (which we'll feature tomorrow), AND this month's VIP collection will be available on November 16 at 10 PM EST in the MFT Boutique.  If you'd like to see what the rest of the team came up with using this adorable stamp, be sure to head over to Kim's blog at 11 AM EST for a complete, linked list of participants.

Here is my card using What's the Story.

I used my new My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue 6 X 6 patterned paper pad (that was a mouthful).  I love the cool colors and fresh patterns.  I accented the card with the Little Open Scallop Strip die, and the Rolled Rose cut out of My Favorite Felt.  (*tip- when created rolled roses or flowers out of felt, I recommend using Best Glue Ever to adhere the bottom "flap" when finishing off the flower)

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll see you tomorrow with another MFT Teaser AND the VIP hop.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Clementine the Teapot Girl

The other day I mentioned to you all that I was going to watch the movie, Ramona and Beezus, with my daughters.  It was a super cute movie and had all of us sappy girls teary-eyed.  LOL  It's a great movie for mother-daughter movie night.

Speaking of adorable things...I just love these cute little teapot girls from Stamping Bella.  They are SO cute.

I stamped Clementine on XPress it Copic paper (LOVE this), and colored her with Copic markers.  The flower is from Prima.  It had a button on it, which I ripped off and replaced with the brad so I could keep the symmetry going.  (type A???)

I'll see you tomorrow with an MFT Teaser using a brand new à la modes stamp set!  It's almost that time.  ;)  The MFT VIP and new à la modes stamp sets are released on Tuesday night at 10 PM EST.

I Miss You

Hi all and thanks for stopping by today.  I have a card using Pure Innocence Making a List

On my list today?  Catch up on e-mail, hang out with my family, and hopefully have movie night with my girls.  I bought them the Beezus and Ramona movie, so I think that will be a great choice.  :)

I colored her with Copic markers and airbrushed the background with my Copic airbrush.  I used Baby Braddies on her shoes, and added some random stitching around the image panel.  The sentiment was stitched on and the end was "scrunched".  It's a "thing".  I used the Open Scallop Die-namics die.

Here is a peek inside, using a sentiment that I loooooooove.

So, what is on YOUR list of things to do today?

Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!  HUGS!

Look Who's Turning Into a NON-Procrastinator

Confession: I am a procrastinator.  It's not that I forget... I don't.  I think about whatever it is that I supposed to be doing at the moment in great detail.   It's just the DOING it that is the problem.  And I wouldn't even call it a problem.  It's how I roll.  I am a self-inflicting stress giver.  Maybe it's performance anxiety?  Whatever it is... it's downright annoying.  LOL  The master act of self-sabotage as far as I'm concerned.  So, when I do not something outside of the norm and play the part of NON-procrastinator, I am quite proud of myself.

Like today.... my card today uses a new Stampin Bella stamp I have had for several weeks, Little Peep's Birthday Cake.  I used it to make my daughter, Madeline, a birthday card.  Guess when her birthday is?  Nope, not tomorrow... in MARCH.  THAT is reformation if I've ever seen it.  I have it done.  I will tuck it away... and I sure as heck hope I will remember where it is when March rolls around.  :)

I created a brown felt flower using my Die-namics Rolled Flower die and MFT felt.  I added some leaves cut with the Leaf Trio die.  I cut them out of a piece of white card stock that I colored with Copics to match the colors on my card, since I didn't have any felt that matched well.   I used the Game Day stamp set for the "Look Who's Turning" and "11" stamps.

The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy True Blue 6 X 6 Patterned Paper Pad.  The patterns are really cute.  I like.

I can't believe my baby is going to turn 11 soon.  WOW.  Time flies.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

A Dream is a Wish...

Hi!  I have another card for you today.  I am on a roll, huh?  I have been a busy bee!  :)

Here is a card using the newly released Pure Innocence Naptime stamp set.  This little girl is just SO sweet.

I whipped out the Figgy Pudding patterned paper collection by Basic Grey from last year.  Apparently i was VERY fond of it.  I had 5, 6 X 6 paper pads in my stash.  Nice... *rolls eyes at self*... AND I had the 12 X 12 pack plus some extra sheets.  My goodness... thank goodness I have reigned in my multiples buying this year.  Well... for patterned paper at least.  I will not say the same for Die-namics.  LOL

With stitching... more is more.  Always.  LOL

Here is a peek inside.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you soon!
