Puffle Treats

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by.  I truly appreciate you taking time out of your day to come and see what I am up to. :)  (yes... feeling a little "mushy")

Today, the MFT Design Team is celebrating the Stephanie Fizer line of stamps.  We are pulling out our "Greatest Hits" and using some of our older (but favorite) stamp sets.  As an added bonus, there is a 2 day sale (good only Thursday & Friday) on all Stephanie Fizer stamp sets.  You'll save 15% on all of her sets.  The code is FIZER

When I found out this month was Stephanie Fizer month, my mind immediately turned to the Puppy Chow Label stamp set.  At the time that set was released, I was puppy-less.... but now that I have my cute little Puffle, I knew I wanted to make her something using it.

I was super excited, because this week, I just received an order from Taylored Expressions with the new Max & Whiskers Basic Grey papers AND Bloomers.  I was SO ready to be a good puppy mommy!  LOL  Puffle LOVES treats, so I decided to make her a treat jar to hold her favorite little bones in.

I ALSO just received an order from MFT, and I got my 6 X 6 cork sheets.  They are SO cool.  I had only found cork that was too thick, OR it was on a roll and kept wanting to curl.  The MFT sheets are FLAT.  I was able to use the frame from the set and stamp and EMBOSS it using clear embossing powder.  It didn't curl or anything!  I was SO excited that it worked.  This cork is a MUST HAVE!

I made a simple label to attach to the cork frame.  I stamped some paw prints in versamark on it, but they are very hard to see in the picture.

I colored the puppy similarly to Puffle.  She has beautiful markings and almost looks like she is wearing a mask.
Here is a shot of the top.  I used my Curvy Cutter to cut circles to fit on the lid of my Perfect Packaging jar.  I stamped paw prints from the set on the paper, and added a Basic Grey Bloomer to the top.

I couldn't resist taking Puffle to the backyard for an impromptu photo shoot.  I wanted to be able to show you my inspiration piece for my project.  :)  She is SO SO sweet.

Puffle stats:
  • Shih Tzu
  • Born on November 28, 2009 (she is about 5 1/2 months old right now)
  • Weighs 10 pounds

Stamps: Puppy Chow Label
Ink: PTI black, Memento black, Versamark
Paper: Max & Whiskers Basic Grey patterned paper pad, Black, White

Oh my heavens - that Puffle face - what a sweetie! I had a black and white Shih Tzu named Lindy when I was in college and my 20's. Your photos make me smile! Of course your project is cute too. ;)

Ok, so Puffle has got attitude written all over that sweet little face! I have only ever seen one other ShihTzu that stood with her paws pointing outwards. Your project is adorable and is probably going to be a favorite of Puffle's too!
